Mexico City.
Believing in love again and enjoying what it has to offer through a relationship is what Kate del Castillo is enjoying in her life today when film activities are on pause due to the actors’ strike in Hollywood.
This “Queen of the South”, 50 years old, is in love, and she says it openly, as she always does, and love smiles at her again.
“Yes, I’m in love,” the actress said in a telephone interview from her home in Los Angeles.
His relationship with cameraman Édgar Bahena, 40, strengthened over the months.
“Here we go, we’re trying to be fathers and agree on things,” he added.
Kate and Edgar began their courtship discreetly, they really share few details of their moments on social networks, but when they do they seem very happy.
“The truth is that we have a lot of things in common and I am happy. “We also have a lot of fun and we work out too, so at least we move our bodies, whatever, and we start working out together and cheering together,” Kate shared.
“How fast! “Two years that seem like five minutes underwater,” joked the actress and producer.
The actress, whose production company Cholawood is making a documentary about singer Ana Gabriel based on her visit to the famous and imposing Olympic stage in Paris, also took advantage of her days in the city of love to enjoy with her partner.
“I liked it very well. Thanks to my work, which took me to very beautiful places, and I was in Paris with my boyfriend because my boyfriend was the cameraman for the documentary, we took advantage of that,” she said.
The actress’s parents, Eric del Castillo and Kate Trillo, recently traveled to Los Angeles to spend more time with him and were intrigued after spending a few days with their daughter and her boyfriend in San Francisco, California.
“One reason we wanted to visit was because of her visit and we came away with an excellent impression,” Don Eric said.
“He’s a friendly person, he’s a cameraman, he was trained in London, and he has a lot of work, and most of all he made my daughter Kate very happy, and I see my daughter happy, so we are very happy, to know him, to treat him, praise God.”
Just as honestly and openly as his daughter, the 89-year-old actor gave his son-in-law the thumbs up.
“Well, look, of the ones he had (Luis García and Aarón Díaz), I give him (Édgar Bahena) the dove,” added the actor.
“You already go away and you want to see your daughters and my son, because I also have my son, that they are well, well accompanied, so that they can be taken care of for the rest of their lives, so that they can be protected. ”
Kate was married to former player Luis García from 2001 to 2004 and to actor Aarón Díaz from 2009 to 2011.
But would her father like to see her married to Edgar?
“Yes, of course, but I won’t interfere with that,” Don Eric replied.
