“Lee” hits Spanish cinemas on December 6th a film by Ellen Kuras and starring Kate Winslet. The actress starred in nude scenes in the film and revealed in a recent interview how she approached the scene.
“I had to be really damn brave to make my body as soft as possible and not hide from it.”” she told Vogue. Winslet plays Lee Miller in the film, and when she filmed this nude scene, the Titanic star was still recovering from a back injury. “I had three huge bruises on my spine, huge… I could barely stand. And believe me, people on our own team told me, “Maybe you want to sit down for a bit.” And I told them, “Why?” For the meat you can see? No, that’s how it will be!'” he said.
Winslet admitted that she finds it difficult to film such scenes and explained why. “I think it’s probably because you’ve been under scrutiny j most terrible judgment and in fact I would even talk about harassment by the mainstream media when I was in my twenties,” he denounced.
“I know not to waste precious energy criticizing my body. I think it’s in every woman’s best interest to just say, ‘I believe in myself.’ I don’t care what other people think, that’s what I am, Let us continue’” he claimed.
Lee tells the story of Lee Miller, War correspondent who went down in history through his work as a photojournalist during the Second World War. Alexander Skarsg*rd, Marion Cotillard, Andrea Riseborough, Andy Samberg and Josh O’Connor, among others, complete the film’s cast.
