Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) President Sugeng Teguh Santosa sensed signs of resistance from the Sambo Gang or Ferdi Sambo against the Special Team (TIMSUS) probing the murder of Brigadier Joshua or Nofriansiyah Yosua Hutabarat.
The Sambo gang will fight back by spreading negative rumors about police officers exposing Sambo’s actions. As a precondition, the protest will take place via social media (medsos) by attacking police officers investigating the Sambo gang.
“The precondition would be to use social media,” Sugeng Teguh Santoso explained to reporters on Sunday, August 14, 2022.
It is known that there are currently three suspects in the murder of Brigadier Joshua. Namely Ferdy Sambo, Bharada Richard Eliezer (E), Bripka Ricky Rizal (RR), and Kuwait Maruf.
However, in this case, it also involved dozens of subordinate or sambo gangs who were suspected of violating the police code of conduct in handling the shooting case against Brigadier Joshua. The Sambo gang begins to intimidate Timsus who was investigating Sambo et al.
“So they are from the Ferdi Sambo group, they want to be intimidated by opening individual ulcers in the Special Team. But the Special Team is indifferent,” Sugeng explained.
Sugeng admitted that he did not know what the Sambo gang incident would be against Timasus or the police officers who were investigating Sambo and his gang, who are currently being investigated for police code of conduct violations.
Apparently he had received information that the Sambo gang was trying to negotiate a deal with Timsus.
“They are currently trying to negotiate a deal with the Ferdy Sambo group. Make a bargain, don’t let anyone else be affected,” he said.
Sugeng meant that the issue of Brigadier Joshua’s death would rest only on the four suspects. This does not extend to the many high-ranking officers in the police who are currently being investigated in connection with the code of conduct.
Also, earlier, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo ordered that in addition to the Task Force, there was also a Special Inspection Team (ITSUS) that handled the Code of Conduct. Dealing with violations of this Code of Conduct puts them in sync with the possibility of being implicated in a criminal case.
For example, regarding the CCTV in Sambo’s house that was declared damaged, then the decoder was replaced, and finally Timsus has now been found as one of the evidence for the murder of Brigadier Joshua.
According to Sugeng, the bargain was carried out as an attempt so that no other party could be drawn again from Ferdi Sambo’s camp, and is also suspected by many to be involved in the scenario of Brigadier J’s death. Expires only in a moral trial, not a criminal case.
On possible resistance from the Sambo gang, Sugeng also suggests that the community fully support Timsus’s work in investigating the murder of Brigadier Joshua.
He said, “We must support Timsus and Timsus personnel. Let’s ignore statements that attack Timsus. So that we can focus on solving the Sambo case. Timsus should not bargain with them.”
So far, there have been 36 police personnel who are being investigated by Itsus for alleged ethical violations. Out of that number, 16 polling personnel are detained in special places (pets).
As quoted by Sura.com, Sugeng said, “Sambo and 31 people who volunteered to jump into this ditch are mafia. For what reason? Mafia operates in a world of crime. What they are doing is bad.” ”
