Kim Kardashian’s love for Marilyn Monroe has reached a whole new level.
“The Kardashians” star stunned at the 2022 Met Gala in a late blonde bombshell “Happy Birthday, Mr President” dress, before she was gifted a lock of Monroe’s hair from Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Headquartered in Orlando, Florida.
During her Met Gala dress fitting, the Muse team surprised Kardashian with a silver box that contained actual strands of Monroe’s legendary platinum hair.

The reality star wasn’t shy about revealing her bizarre plans for Monroe’s stress.
“Oh my god, I’m really going to do some crazy magic**t [to] Channel him,” the actress said in the video. “It’s very special to me. Thank you very much. It’s great.”
“Wow, it’s sleeping with me every night,” Kardashian said, turning to boyfriend Pete Davidson. “I’m sorry, I know.”
The team at Ripley filled her Met Gala dressing room with an array of Marilyn Monroe and JFK memorabilia to make sure the fashionista had enough inspiration for her look.
However, Kardashian admitted that fitting into the outfit was no easy task.
she had to lose 16 pounds in three weeks.
“I used to put on a sauna suit twice a day, ran on the treadmill, completely cut out all sugar and all carbs, and ate only the cleanest vegetables and proteins,” she told Vogue on the red carpet. “I didn’t starve myself, but I was very strict.”
According to an Instagram post from Ripley’s Muse, Kardashian has tried on this famous garment for only the second time in history.
“The dress was taken away by guards and I had to put on gloves to try it on,” she said.
The American franchise that specializes in showcasing oddities captured Kardashian’s emotional moment as she tried on the dress that was preserved as a piece of pop culture history.
The problem was that the dress wasn’t fully coming on her frame.
The museum had to consult with costume conservationists, appraisers and archivists to determine the best way to maintain the condition of the dress as the gown could not be altered.
To make it work, Kardashian wore a white, vintage fur coat that draped over the zipper, which was only partially tied off.
He She said she didn’t change into a dress until she was ready to walk the red carpet. She left her hotel on Monday in just a fitting gown and changed into historic attire in a small room at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
After the initial big performance on the red carpet, she changed into a replica dress to protect the piece of history. Kardashian then celebrated her three weeks of dieting by throwing a Donut and Pizza Party in his hotel room.
On Monday night, she shared videos on her Instagram Story showing a mini donut station and a pizza box on a table in her room.
“You guys, I haven’t had carbs or sugar in about a month,” she said. “Definitely three weeks. This pizza – I’m so excited!”
Despite enduring disapproval from critics for risking borrowing the gown, the head of Monroe’s estate, Nick Woodhouse, voiced her approval. He told TMZ that he and his colleagues believe Monroe may have celebrated Kardashian’s fashion tribute, citing the similarities between the two icons.
