Lala Kent on the term ‘California sober’: ‘It doesn’t sit right with me’

6th October (WNN) — Lala Kent says the word “California sober” doesn’t mean “sit” with her.

The 31-year-old television personality discussed her sobriety and dislike of the word during Tuesday’s episode watch live what happens.

Kent will celebrate his third year of abstinence this month. She previously said on the one-year anniversary of her abstinence that it was the “greatest achievement” of her life.

Feather WWHL, Kent was asked his thoughts about him Vanderpump Rules Co-star Raquel Lewis says that her boyfriend, James Kennedy, is “California sober,” or someone who doesn’t drink, but still uses marijuana.

“It’s not a real thing,” Kent said of the concept. “The word is ‘dry’.”

“I’m obviously on the program, I’m with a lot of incredible men and women who do everything in their power to never take any kind of substance,” she said. “So hearing someone say, ‘I’m California cool’… it doesn’t sit right with me, because I’m a person who only drank weed and smoked, and almost lost my whole life. So I doesn’t like it.”

The Kent issue is a matter of respect.

“Just don’t disrespect people who work really hard and never pick up on anything and stay in their right frame of mind all the time,” she said.

Kennedy has struggled with substance abuse issues and said WWHL In March 2020 that he was sober for almost nine months. He said he calmed down in an effort to improve his life and relationship with Lewis.

Kent got engaged to Randall Emmett in September 2018 shortly before she calmed down. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Ocean, in March.
