Lamborghini Scrambled: so the first hybrid Sant’Agata

In the year of the brand’s 60th anniversary, Lamborghini presented a before and after Scramblednothing else, nothing less than the first hybrid car in its history. With it, it will fully compete against Ferrari and its hybrid technology.

Lamborghini Revuelto: how mechanics?

The Lamborghini Revuelto features a new arrangement: the 6.5 liter V12 engine The center mount, naturally aspirated, is completed by three electric motors, one of which is integrated into the new eight-speed double-stone gearbox.

The V12 produces 8325 horsepower at 9,250 rpm thanks to a redesigned engine that supports a maximum rev range of 9,500 rpm. First of all, the power is 128 hp per liter, the highest ever in a Lamborghini 12-cylinder engine, with a maximum torque of 725 Nm at 6,750 rpm.

The box is attached transversely and is first placed behind the combustion engine. In what was a traditional speed transmission after the days of the Countach, in its place is a lithium-ion battery that powers the electric motors.

Revuelto maintains one of Lamborghini’s most solid traditions: the Four wheel drive. In addition to the internal combustion engine that provides power to the rear wheel, a pair of electric motors now reside on the front axle, each of which provides drive to one of the front wheels. A third electric motor is also located above the eight-speed double-valve electric gearbox that can provide power to the rear wheel, depending on the mode and driving conditions selected.

The battery measures 1,550 mm long, 301 mm high and 240 mm wide, and consists of pocket cells with a capacity of 3.8 kWh. When it reaches zero charge, it can be recharged using a domestic alternating current and charging column running up to 7 kW of power, which allows the battery to be fully recharged in just 30 minutes. It can also be recharged via regenerative braking of the front wheels or directly from the V12 engine in just six minutes.

The new Revuelto offers features at the height of the segment: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds; from 0 to 200 km/h in less than 7 seconds; and a top speed of more than 350 km/h.

The brand explains that aerospace elements are mixed with the musculature of an animal that starts at the front: the scaly nose pattern with a wide monolithic carbon visor “transmits a sense of power and speed”.

They approach the optical group with Y-shaped running lights of the day -a characteristic style characteristic of today’s Lamborghini designed by aerodynamic fins that are split and connected to the hood itself. The side wings, located behind the front wheel arch, flow through the sides of the tank and the door recesses to the sides are pronounced, which feature sharp edges that echo the arrows on the front.

The roof combines increased headroom with aesthetic qualities and specific aerodynamic functions. The low profile channels the air to the rear wing, but at the same time allows more cabin room for both driver and passenger.

The rear tax hybrid V12. The fully exposed longitudinal engine highlights the mechanical heart of the Revuelto, combining it visually with a double hexagonal spoiler surmounting the geometric profile, framed by the Y-shaped light signature light beams.
