Japanese automobile maker Toyota has launched its luxury MPV highs in the Indian market. The 14-seater MPV is priced at Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom) with an attractive look and strong engine capability. The company has launched the fifth generation model in India through the Complete Built Unit (CBU) route.
The new Toyota Hyus is available in the Indian market in a single GL variant. Let us know that the company sells only a limited number of units of this MPV. This means that only a select few in the country can afford these MPVs. The company recently imported its first batch. A total of 14 people can easily sit in this MPV.
The company used a 2.8-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine in the Hyas, which produces 151bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. Let us know that the company has also used this engine in its Fortuner SUV. But in this SUV this engine produces 204 bhp of power, 420 Nm of torque. This MPV has a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
You can buy this MPV in two colors including white and silver. The third row of this MPV means that the third row can be easily folded, giving you better storage space at the back. The company features a 2-din audio system, USB connectivity, power steering, AC vents in each row, rear power sliding doors, fabric seats, power windows, rear defogger and halogen lamps.
As far as safety features are concerned, features like dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), speed alert system are provided. Its body crash protection is protected by GOA. However, its sixth generation model is available for sale in the global market built on Toyota’s new Global Architecture platform. The MPV is also large in size and has a seating capacity of 17 people.
