Actors Lauren Graham and Peter Krause have announced that they are apart last year after more than a decade together.
Graham’s representative confirmed the separation to People.com and said the “Gilmore Girls” star and “Six Feet Under” star “ended their relationship peacefully last year.”
The couple had a long history as friends before romance blossomed, after they met when they were on the set of the NBC sitcom “Caroline in the City” in 1995.
But they only started dating in 2010, when their brother and sister starred in the NBC series “Parenthood”.
Graham told reporters in 2010 that the relationship was “so nice” and “so easy”, but said timing and shyness kept them from making contact when they met in the 1990s.
“I think we liked each other [but] “he asked me to come to his house to play a board game – and that’s exactly what we did in the end,” she said. “So I was like, ‘This guy does not like me. Who actually plays a board game? ‘ The timing was not right. I don’t think any of us were ready. “
The relationship may have been ravaged by COVID-19 concerns, based on what Graham told Ellen DeGeneres in April 2021.
She was working on the Disney + series “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” at the time, which was shot in Vancouver.
“Normally it’s a two hour flight and you’re coming home on weekends, but I could not. So we were separated for almost five months, which has never happened before, ”she told the talk show host.
When she finally got home, Graham noticed “more stacks” around the house and that Krause and his son from a previous marriage had “really bonded”.
She said the bond “was fantastic”, but that it made her feel like the strange man.
“Like, it was more that they were the married couple,” she said.
