It will be on June 8 when the new family SUV from the Japanese premium brand will be unveiled to the public and to make a mouthful it shows these pictures of the interior.
About a year ago, Lexus announced the launch of the new Lexus TX, a large SUV with which it wanted to compete with the similarly built German model. And it didn’t take long for some details of the new model to show up to spark the interest of potential buyers. Now, it has already announced when this car designed for families will hit the market and when will we get to know more about it.
It will be next June 8 when the presentation will take place, although the Japanese premium brand wanted to push the images of its interior. A cabin that reflects its family spirit with three rows of seats. Seats that have a very comfortable look and are configured in a 2+2+2 format.
A sister SUV to the Toyota Grand Highlander
Not much is known about the car, though it is expected to be quite similar to the Toyota Grand Highlander. It’s logical to belong to the Lexus brand above it in terms of equipment, although it looks like the length and base will be similar. Toyota’s TNGA-K platform allows it to have a length of 5,116 millimetres.
Lexus TX Interior
We haven’t seen much of the exterior of the SUV, only the rear has been advertised. Only the C-pillar and tail lights are visible in the promotional photo. These show a design that is part of the rear wing.
If we think about motorization, the Toyota Grand Highlander will be present with three configurations, so the Lexus TX offering shouldn’t be much different. In the case of Toyota models, we find an entry level with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with supercharging, which produces 265 hp.
The intermediate range is offered with a hybrid drivetrain consisting of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a power of 245 hp, with either front- or all-wheel drive. Lastly, there’s the 2.4-litre turbocharged engine inherited from the Lexus RX, which will be served exclusively with all-wheel drive.
It will be manufactured in the United States and yes, it will only be available in that market for the time being. We will get to see it on June 8th and we will see if it is worth waiting for it to reach our market.
