Libero Copper Expands Copper-Gold Discovery at Big Red Project

All wells drilled during the 2022 program intersected intrusive granodiorite with interspersed volcanic and volcanic units in medium grain syenite units.

Libero Copper & Gold Corporation provides results of the summer 2022 drill program at the Big Red Project, located 70 kilometers northwest of the Galore Creek deposit in the Golden Triangle of British Columbia, Canada.

A total of four drill holes (2,790 m) were completed during the 2022 field season. Three holes for porphyry cyanite intrusions were tested to the east of Terry’s porphyry copper-gold discovery, with a reaction containing elevated potassium and concordant surface rock samples. High copper mineralization.

Well BR-22-043, drilled in the Terri porphyry discovery area, intercepted 0.24% Cu and 0.03 g/t Au over 100.5 m (7.5 to 108.0 m). This hole successfully tested a down-dipping extension of porphyry copper-gold mineralization in hole BR-21-028 returning 0.26% Cu and 0.06 g/t Au at 118.7 m (8.3 to 127.0 m).

“We are pleased to have successfully traversed the extension of Terry’s porphyry mineralization in hole BR-22-043. We will be analyzing all field data in preparation for the 2023 field season,” comments Ian Harris, CEO.

medium grain cyanite

All wells drilled during the 2022 program intersected intrusive granodiorite with interspersed volcanic and volcanic units in medium grain syenite units.

The intrusive units are usually altered potassic with traces of 1% diffuse pyrite. Quartz veinlets and stringers contain locally variable pyrite and chalcopyrite. Copper mineralization is associated with a specific phase of agglomerated porphyry that is most abundant in the immediate Terri area.

Intrusive contact zones and immediately adjacent wall rock units often represent deposit sites favorable for high-grade mineralization and veining. No significant copper and gold mineralization was reported in three holes drilled southeast of the Terry Porphyry discovery area.

mineral-rich samples

In addition to drilling in the Terry area, reconnaissance field tests were conducted on the presence of lead mineral on the property. A total of 614 surface rock samples were collected and analyzed.

The assay confirms previous historical sampling results from these areas with mineralized samples containing up to 10 g/t Au. Additional follow-up field work will be completed during the 2023 field program for the Poker, Windy, TGR North, Ridge and West targets to identify the source and extent of mineralization in these fields.

Big Red is located along Barrington Road 45 km southwest of Telegraph Creek, 70 km north of Galore Creek and 70 km northwest of Ratchet Creek in the Golden Triangle of northwestern British Columbia, Canada.

The Golden Triangle is a mining district of prodigious gold and copper mineralogy and home to some of Canada’s best-known mines (Premier, Red Chris, Snipes, Brucejack, Eske Creek) and porphyry copper deposits (Galore Creek, Shaft Creek, KSM, Saddle) Is. ,
