The businessman Elmer Macha Coronación not only gave his car to be used by Congressman Guillermo Bermejo and gave money to the legislator’s adviser to secure some work, according to an effective collaborator in the case of Construction Operators. The founder, apparently, extended his relationship with other congressmen and would have placed as a worker in the office of Edgar Tello Montes a person he trusted completely, who, already a parliamentary employee, he went to different ministries, as revealed by Panorama.
The dubious hiring of Américo Troncoso was poorly justified by the left who did not know how to detail the functions he performed in his office and even initially denied knowing Macha.
The report made it clear that Macha and Troncoso went to Tello’s office on March 1 and a month after this meeting, the businessman’s partner was already working under the orders of the leftist congressman, who could not detail exactly what the job was. Troncoso did in his office or why he deserves to be hired. “I don’t remember the current position… to see the projects that need to be developed,” he answered, surprised and nervous.
He also did not explain why and for what Troncoso, who is his employee, accompanied Macha in various ministries, performing functions unrelated to his parliamentary work.
According to the record of visits to these offices, the businessman would have taken advantage of the fact that Troncoso worked for Congress to access these offices without problems.
But that person who also reported harassing a former worker in his office chose to seek refuge in oblivion before clarifying where he knew Macha, now involved in the case of Construction Operators, involving his colleague Bermejo for allegedly collecting bribes in exchange for work.
Did Mr. Elmer Macha give you anything like Mr. Bermejo according to the effective collaborator, such as campaign vehicles? Any kind of support? The Panorama journalist asked him, to which Tello replied: “No. I remember.” This dubious involvement of a businessman involved in the payment of bribes and the delivery of vehicles to Bermejo must be explained to the representative of the Magisterial Block.
Last August, the Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation against Bermejo as accused of committing the crime of aggravated influence peddling, to the detriment of the State. He was accused of alleged links to Los Operadores de la Reconstrucción, a criminal organization that collects bribes for the execution of certain acts corresponding to the Authority for Reconstruction with Changes (ARCC).
