To accomplish this, the Excise Policy 2021-22 has been amended. The cess is enhanced by modifying it. Due to this, liquor has now become expensive from Rs 10 to Rs 40.
After the introduction of Kovid cess, the prices of liquor have gone up by 10-40 rupees. Amending the Excise Policy 2021-22, the government has imposed a special additional consideration fee of Rs 10 per 90 ml on regular category liquor. Similarly, premium category liquor has also been charged Rs 10 per 90 ml, Rs 20 per 90 ml on Super Premier, Rs 30 per 90 ml on Scotch and Rs 40 per 90 ml on imported liquor.
