The City of Seattle is opening a new COVID-19 vaccination clinic in West Seattle for people who have not yet received the vaccine, people eligible for revaccination, and children aged 5 to 11 when they become eligible. Over the coming weeks, the clinic at Neighborhood House, 6400 Sylvan Way SW will be open most Fridays from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Meat processing giant Tyson Foods of Springdale, Arkansas says more than 96% of its workers were vaccinated before the company’s November 1 deadline. Tyson, who has long struggled with a shortage of workers, said employees who did not get vaccinated by the company’s deadline would be fired, but that former employees would be happy to return if they did get vaccinated later.
