‘Look out notice’ issued against Olympian Sushil Kumar

The Delhi Police has issued a look out notice against Olympian Sushil Kumar in connection with the assault at the Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi and the death of a 23-year-old wrestler. Police say that Sushil Kumar is absconding since the death of 23-year-old wrestler Sagar Rana in the assault in Chhatrasal Stedim.

On May 4, 2021, there was news of a fight from Delhi’s Chhatrasal Stadium. During this time Sagar Rana was killed in the fight. He was a junior national championship winner and his father is a head constable in Delhi Police.

In this case, Additional DCP (North-West) Dr. Gurikbal Singh Sidhu had told that many wrestlers were injured in this fight and the police had also gone to the house of Olympian Sushil Kumar, but he was absent from there. They are currently being searched.

An accused has been arrested

According to the police, 24-year-old Prince Dalal has been arrested in this case. He hails from Jhajjar, Haryana. The firing also took place during the clash at the Chhatrasal Stadium. The pimp was caught with a double barrel loaded gun. Another accused in the case, Sonu Mahal, has come to know that he is close to gangster Kala Jathedi. He has also been jailed in the past for murder and robbery cases.

According to Sidhu, the police have come to know that there was a quarrel in the parking lot of the stadium between Sushil Kumar, Ajay, Prince, Sonu, Sagar, Amit and others. At the Model Town Police Station Register an FIR Has been. Experts from FSL (Forensic Science Lab) Rohini have also collected forensic evidence from the scene.

As of now, an FIR has been lodged in the Model Town Police Station in Delhi against Sushil Kumar and others in this case. At present, several police teams have been formed to search the accused. Additional DCP Sidhu has said that we are investigating the role of Sushil Kumar in this incident.

Sushil Kumar told himself innocent

On Wednesday (5 May 2021) about this incident, Sushil Kumar said that his wrestlers have nothing to do with this matter. Outsiders are responsible for this. He claims that he had told the police about it that some outsiders had entered his area and assaulted him.

Significantly, Wrestler Sushil Kumar won the silver medal in wrestling at the 2012 London Olympics. He had earlier won a bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics 2008.
