New York: A new study has found that men in stressful jobs and low wages are twice as likely to develop heart disease than others. The study, published in the journal Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes, showed that psychosocial stress at work can increase the risk of heart disease.

Robichaud said: “Our results suggest that interventions to reduce stress in the work environment may be particularly effective for men and potentially also beneficial for women, as these stressors such as depression are linked to other common health problems.”
