Why settle for Kendall Jenner or Hadid’s offspring for your next runway show when you can have … Macaulay Culkin?
Call it Culkin love because there is no better time to be part of a famous family. While his brother Kiran is starring in the biggest drama to date, Macahuali has gone from being a child star to a full-fledged Gucci model.
Culkin was one of the few famous faces at the Gucci Love Parade that closed Los Angeles’ Hollywood Boulevard on Tuesday night for the brand’s first in-person appearance since the pandemic.
Taking advantage of his inner Richie Rich, Culkin stepped onto the catwalk in a stunning combination of a Hawaiian shirt and a glittery floral jacket, a signature Gucci belt and wide leg pants. He finished off the look with orange hues and black spiked pumps.
In the video filmed from the event, Culkin looks more than at home on the catwalk as he stomps down the street with his hands in his pockets.
Creative director Alessandro Michele, conceived as a love letter to Hollywood, told WWD that the fashion presentation was about “how much the brand is connected to cinema,” so naturally the event was filled to the brim with celebrities.
In addition to Culkin, Phoebe Bridgers, Jodie Turner-Smith, St. Vincent, Miranda Julie, Jeremy Pope and Jared Leto, who recently appeared in House of Gucci, also took the runway.
As for the audience, Lizzo, Miley Cyrus, Serena Williams, Dakota Johnson, Vanessa Bryant, Diane Keaton, Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade, Olivia Wilde, Salma Hayek and Billie Eilish attended the stellar fashion extravaganza.
Gwyneth Paltrow also made her mark at the event by unveiling a new version of the iconic Gucci suit in red velvet she wore to the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards.
Culkin seems to have begun to slowly return to the public eye in recent months after a long hiatus in Hollywood.
Last year was particularly remarkable for the Home Alone star, who gave birth to her first child in April with longtime partner Brenda Song. Culkin also returned to acting after retiring as a teenager, scaring everyone in the new season of American Horror Story.
