Uber has announced the launch of its new application, designed to improve the experience of users at the airport and make the journey from the boarding gate to the passenger collection point, where their driver will be waiting, easier and more intuitive.

The first of the new features is the extension of the travel booking service, which can now be done up to 90 days in advance and up to two hours before the start of the journey, which allows the user to plan his journey even further. than with 30 days before the reservation platform offered until now.

The reservation service is designed for those users who seek greater control and certainty over their travel experience, for those with the peace of mind of knowing that their vehicle will arrive on time and they will have to wait five minutes at the collection point, eliminating the extra time. I must hurry. When the user confirms his reservation, the platform will assign a driver who will pick him up on the selected date and time.

Another of the new features is the implementation of a step-by-step guide, which includes images of different areas of the airport, to take the user from the boarding gate to the Uber connection point, helping to reduce the time spent. drivers and congestion at airports and increase service efficiency. This task makes Madrid-Barajas one of the first 30 airports in the world to have, and will be extended to other airports in the coming months.

In addition, the app will show the user the estimated walking time of arrival from the exit gate to the trains requesting carousels and the Uber pickup point, so they can book their ride accordingly and avoid unnecessary waiting for both the user and the driver. This functionality will be rolled out globally to more than 400 players around the world in the coming weeks.
