The National Experimental University of Electrical Specialties (UNEXI), the headquarters of the country’s largest hydroelectric power plant, was inaugurated in the Bolivarian Angostura municipality of Bolívar state, from the city of Guri.
The activity included the participation of Minister of Electric Power, G/J, Nestor Reverol Torres, who was accompanied by civil and military officials and during a tour showed the headquarters features and infrastructure of this house of higher studies.
Reverol talked about the strategic importance of creating this space that would serve as a flagship for technical and technological independence with ready human resources and a sense of belonging, a fact that is evident throughout the National Electricity System (SEN). Will establish a professional and ethical integrity.
In this sense, Nestor Reverol, Sector Vice President of Public Works and Services, pointed out that the campus has 442 students, of whom 97 belong to the towns near the hydroelectric plant and the rest are SEN employees.
In addition, it has 34 classrooms, a library, a reading room, a computer room, a crèche, two amphitheaters for 258 people, a cafeteria, sports areas and a dining room; as well as administrative offices with 140 employees; among teaching, administrative and staff staff.
“It will be part of a center of knowledge, innovation and scientific and technological development. We are very happy to inaugurate the alma mater of the National Electric System on this day”, highlighted Reverol.
The Minister indicated that the materialization of this project of great educational dimensions was in large part due to Minister Tibise Lucena, who during her visit to the University Education portfolio demonstrated whether she could tailor the curriculum to the needs of this important branch.
The holder of the country’s electric portfolio reported that new nuclei will be inaugurated, and initially they will start in the west, especially in the state of Falcon, whose headquarters will develop alternative energy.

UNEXEE Study Offers
Unexee will offer three careers: Electrical Maintenance Management Engineering, Electrical Network Engineering and Power Systems.
It is expected that eight training centers will be established in different regions of the country in the future along with an alternative energy study center in Falcon State.
Finally, the National President asked Minister Reverol to evaluate the possibility of setting up Anaxi Study Centers in each state to “slowly and progressively grow” and continue the “powerful university system” in the country.
