Mafias have taken younger and younger girls to prostitute themselves on TikTok and Instagram in their rooms and on social networks

Victoria is 19 years old and lives in Lacupolis. His life, despite his precarious fortune, is told every day on TikTok, a social network with an increasingly young presence. In one of his posts he complained “how expensive it was to live in the country and how much he wanted to move to Europe”.

On his channel, he “lives shows to receive gifts and extra money”. Until one person in particular did not stop interacting with her. He thought that he would take me to Spain as much as possible. After I got home, he locked me in the room. I never knew I could sell to my friends, he sold me a club in Denmark. Are there people who give money to strangers?« A woman who has fallen into the mafia could get out of the sentence of prostitution with one hand.

Indeed, experts have discovered how, with the pandemic, now more and more, the dark business of trafficking in girls takes place through social networks. And in this sad matter, the younger and Spanish women rise like foam. “It happened, for example, with two 17-year-old girls, from Fuenlabrada and Bravo Murillo”, who ended up in the rooms where these groups returned to slavery. Latin American bands tend to be one-sided, especially from Colombia or Spain.

Polish sources corroborate this thesis from Apramp, the main company that supports these women in Madrid. The previous testimony is about Blessing Igbinoso, a powerful Nigerian who suffered these experiences in the flesh. In the new campaign organized, #TikTokTrata, they are working with two other thousands of students in the social network, Mar Lucas and the actress Laura Rozalén. Both touch on the real experiences of two other young women in Madrid.

Also on OnlyFans

The idea is to reach almost a new “market niche” that is on TikTok, Instagram or amateur content platforms such as OnlyFans. In the first, proselytizing is done in almost all cases, as in Victoria. The girls are hinting that they go quickly and in packs, deceiving them, according to the number of gifts, veils or other prizes, their pockets will be filled: “How well you do, how much I like. “tu” are almost words with which to delineate. And from there the hook is thrown: “Each for himself; [de los ‘regalos’] “You will receive more money,” they promise. But the money actually goes to these mafia accounts.

The same happens with other pages where “webcams” are used or even on Instagram, where the basic way of working consists in sending private messages to these girls and entertaining them. Until the constitution falls or is imposed directly in the rooms where fornication takes place. They are also unwelcome and in many cases consume and dispense drugs to their clients. And indeed they do not see the least economic gain, beyond the harassment that it brings with it.

“Thus, the prisoners do not need to go to the country of origin – explains Ana Méndez, Apramp mediator – and they also see directly the situation of vulnerability of the victims, because they observe Nigerians; for example, how is your house? Plus, they’re more invisible that way. This very thing, as you may have noticed, is what we are looking for in trade now. As street prostitution became more persecuted, it decreased, but it moved to the apartments and now it spreads through social networks, where minors abound. It serves as a kind of ‘free’ loan without the need to mediate people who help in other countries or even in Spain.

From this campaign, because it is very difficult to obtain true figures, a study will be carried out, which also includes conferences and meetings in schools and youth centers, as they did a week ago at the Victoria Kent Institute, in Fuenlabrada: “The reason is to learn to use networks, because this is what you can happen, and just put them in secret. And, if it happens to you or someone you know, let them know at @policia« or on the anti-trafficking phone (900 105 090).

in the center of the city

The mediator confirms that they are “young, Spanish and foreign girls” according to the victims that Madrid frequents with its resources. There are also smaller cases. It’s about two boys who were referred by their high school teacher because they learned they were fornicating and met men through Instagram. “They needed money and organized the practice of prostitution through a social network and then they were found in private rooms and needed to be rescued,” Méndez says.

And that is the next step: contact ends in hotels and ends in homes. If a few months ago the ABC spoke of 800 arrests, now it could be a thousand double and longer. Apramp accompanies the National Police and the Civil Guard in their operations in these areas, trying to accompany the victims and give them a way out. “There are fewer and fewer clubs, more chalets, villas and lodges. They cannot imagine how they are prolific: Carabanchel, Arganzuela, Usera, Vallecas, Fuenlabrada, Alcalá de Henares, San Fernando, Parla, Móstoles, Bravo Murillo, Estrecho, Tetuán, Capitán Haya…, they add in the group.

1,300 services per month

Some 1,278 women take care of their menstrual cycles. A true scourge, especially in the case of a relatively small company. In 2022, 345 images of reception were added. And there are many things that are not known. Minors, for example, are hidden or placed in other rooms when social services help. And they do the same in the street, as in the La Cantueña industrial estate, in Fuenlabrada.

Colombians (1,445 detected) are increasing and already exceed Paraguayan (1,035), Dominican (939), Venezuelan (890), Brazilian (325), Spanish (305) and Honduran (129): “You will meet them on the floors; and perhaps they have only been here for a week or a month. They arrive as always, the mafia paying off the debt.
