There is going to be another big player entry in the two-wheeler segment in the Indian market. Mahindra, the country’s leading automobile maker, is all set to launch BSA Motorcalls of British descent in the domestic market. The company will first launch internal combustion (IC) bikes here, followed by electric bikes.
BSA Motorcycles is a British automobile manufacturer, recently acquired by Mahindra. According to new media reports, BSA bikes may be launched in the Indian market this year. The company will first introduce regular models and will launch electric bikes in the market by 2022.

Information that this British company will make regular models at the Bonbury plant, and later the production of electric bikes will also start here. The electric project is said to cost around Rs 91 crore. The batteries used in these electric bikes are manufactured in the UK and the company may also seek the cooperation of other companies for these batteries.
Mahindra & Mahindra owns Classic Legends, BSA and Java brands. The Java brand has entered the Indian market and the brand is also doing well here. In its first year, the company sold more than 50,000 bikes nationwide. Now Indians are waiting for BSA bikes.
