Mahindra Thar bookings exceed 55 months and wait 10 months

Mahindra Thar has been getting great customer response since the introduction of the second generation model (Mahindra Thar). According to the company, the number of new Thar bookings has now exceeded 55,000. Last month (April), Mahindra announced the completion of 50,000 bookings. The company says customers are opting for automatic options because 47% of bookings are for the same option .So say 8 months have passed since the new Thar was launched. Car prices start from Rs 12.11 lakh to Rs 14.16 lakh (former showroom, Delhi).

10 months waiting time
Due to the extraordinary booking, the waiting time of the car has also been increased by 10 months. That is, it can wait a long time for customers who want to buy a new Thar. Mahindra says it has accelerated the production capacity of its Nasik plant to reduce waiting times and meet growing demand.

The power of the Thor engine
Mahindra Thar comes in two engine options – 2.0 liter petrol and 2.2 liter turbo diesel. Its 2.0-liter petrol engine produces 150 PS and the diesel engine produces 130 PS. These engines come with a 6 speed manual and automatic gearbox. A 4×4 option is also available with both engines.

Special features of Thar
The new SUV is bigger and more capable than the old SUV. The car features LED DRLs, alloy wheels, a hard roof, automatic climate control, front seats with ISOFIX mounts and a touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
