30 September (WNN) — Maluma plays “One Word Songs” with Jimmy Fallon and discusses releasing new music during the COVID-19 pandemic The Tonight Show.
Singer and Fallon performed popular songs using just a random word during the game on Wednesday. Then the pair will have to try to guess which song the other is singing.
Fallon went first and performed “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” by the Backstreet Boys, using the term jack-o’-lantern. Maluma was unable to guess the song and was launched into “In da Club” by 50 Cent using the word spam. Thanks to some help from The Roots, Fallon got the right answer.
Maluma laughed as Fallon sang “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi, in which Daddy Yankee used the word walkie-talkie.
Maluma correctly guessed the track and ended the game with a rendition of “No Woman, No Cry” by Bob Marley using the word Super Nintendo. Fallon got the answer right and joined up with Maluma for a duet.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the 27-year-old released the album sinner juancho In August 2020 and then EP 7 dias in Jamaica in January 2021.
Maluma elaborated on Fallon, “What I did during the pandemic and everything, was literally waking up in my PJs and going straight to the studio and making music. That’s how I actually made two albums a year. ” How there is a studio inside his house which he reaches via an elevator.
