A group of supporters caused a protest outside Arnold’s home.
Manchester United chief executive Richard Arnold met with a group of supporters at a pub on Saturday to protest against the Glazer family’s ownership of the club from taking place outside his home.
A small group of United fans arranged for a ‘peaceful and legal’ protest at the gates of Arnold’s Cheshire estate on Saturday afternoon, with organizers erecting several banners demanding Glazers and Arnold leave the club. . They had arranged to meet at a pub near Arnold’s house before the protest began.
After receiving a tip-off, Arnold unexpectedly appeared at the pub to meet the group in person, leading to a lengthy and frank discussion about a number of club-related issues, including dressing room leaks and United for the Summer. transfer funds were included.

“He’s saying none of the last 17 years is his fault.”
One of the group who spoke directly to Arnold said, “By the time most of the boys got there, they were saying the Glazers have f***ed for the past 17 years.” Joy.
“We’re not making her [Arnold] To be a hero, but we respect the fact that he came out to see us and speak about things.

“He’s basically asking for a clean slate because he’s just started his role. He’s saying none of the last 17 years are his fault.”

“If You Love United, You Aren’t Helping United”
Those who planned Saturday’s protest did so in support of the recently formed group The 1958, which organized several protests against Glazer family ownership and sold supporters to United’s main sponsors and stakeholders. Encouraged to target in an attempt to coerce.
The source added: “What he kept saying was that attacking sponsors and investors is hurting the club. So what ’58 is doing is working.
“He’s saying ‘If you love United, you’re not helping United.’ I asked him what he would do to us instead and he nodded.
“We are trying to harm the club so the sponsorship stops and they are forced to sell.”
Arnold is said to have been understanding by listening to fans’ concerns. He also acknowledged that protests against United owners will continue inside Old Trafford.
“They told us that the protests could continue but the fire could not start inside the Munich Tunnel or the grounds,” the group member said.
“He said the protests should continue and he would insist those protests not to stop, even though others have called for them to be banned.”

Arnold on dressing room leaks and summer transfer plans
United recorded their worst season in the Premier League era last season, with supporters unhappy with information being leaked to the media from inside the dressing room. On top of that, Arnold is said to have told the group that “the two sources of leaks have now left the club.”
United have yet to make a major addition to their squad this summer since the appointment of Erik ten Haag as manager was confirmed in April. Some have expressed their concern about the lack of arrival, although Arnold said football director John Murtaugh was working hard to conclude a deal for Frankie de Jong with Barcelona.
“He said Murtaugh is trying to make a de Jong deal from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. £200m for transfers. He won’t let any other target slip away.”
“He was honest with us and it helped defuse the situation. About 20 of us were there telling him exactly what we thought but by the end of it, we were piped down.”
The planned protest outside Arnold’s home did not proceed after the meeting.

United supporters vow to continue Glazer protests next season
Fan protests against United’s ownership of the Glazers have been a regular occurrence since the Americans took over at Old Trafford in 2005.
The family’s involvement in the doomed European Super League plot sparked a new wave of protests last year, culminating in United supporters entering Old Trafford ahead of a league game against Liverpool. The game was later postponed.
Arnold’s meeting with supporters follows a weekend in which United’s stock price hit a record low. The dividend will be paid once again to shareholders — including the Glazer family — later this month.
