Margot Robbie Likely to Rob Someone in ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ Prequel

Collecting roles in beloved franchises like the Infinity Stones, Margot Robbie is set to star in and produce the upcoming “Ocean’s Eleven” prequel.

According to Hollywood, amid discussions about his roles in the “Barbie” and “Pirates of the Caribbean” spinoffs, Robbie will once again team up with “Bombshell” director Jay Roach for a new entry in the blockbuster heist franchise. Reporter.

Warner Bros. has released no additional details about the film, except that the project will be “the original ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ set in 1960s Europe” with a script by Cary Solomon.

The film is still in development and has not been officially flagged off by the studio, according to the outlet, which notes that “the goal is to begin production in spring 2023.”

Perfectly inspired by the 1960 Rat Pack film of the same name, “Ocean’s Eleven” hit theaters in 2001 with director Steven Soderbergh and a megawatt cast including George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts.

The film’s critical and commercial success paved the way for two more Soderbergh sequels in 2018 and a female-front spinoff “Oceans 8”, starring Sandra Bullock as the sister of Clooney’s character Danny Ocean.

Overall, the franchise has grossed over $1 billion at the global box office, becoming a jewel in Warner Bros.’ film slate.
