Maruti sedan car exports up, sales up 546%

A total of 39,666 vehicles were exported from India in October, an increase of 18 per cent over the same month last year. Five of the top 10 cars are Maruti Suzuki alone. Hyundai’s two cars and Kia, Nissan and Honda’s one car are in the top 10 export list. Maruti Suzuki is also the largest export vehicle. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the most exported car of October 2021.

Sales of Maruti sedans increased by 546%
It exported 5,636 units last month, an increase of 546.33 percent over 872 units in October 2020. It is one of the best selling cars in the Indian market. Prices start at Rs 5.99 lakh and go up to Rs 9.08 lakh It comes with a 1.2-liter dualjet petrol engine (90PS / 113Nm), paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT option. It gives mileage of 23.26 kmpl with MT and 24.12 kmpl with AMT.

Here is a list of the top 5 cars
Second on the list is Maruti Suzuki Baleno. A total of 5,016 units of baleno were exported in October 2021, compared to 2,780 units in October 2020. Thus, the growth in car sales has been 80.43 percent. Similarly, Maruti Suzuki Swift was in the third position with a total export of 3,977 units. This is an increase of 242 percent compared to 1,162 units in October 2020.

The Kia Seltos SUV and Nissan Sunny sedan are fourth and fifth on the list. A total of 3,027 units of Kia Celtos were exported in October 2021, and 3,725 units were exported in October 2020. That means car sales fell 16.64 percent. Similarly, a total of 2,356 units of Nissan Sunny were exported in October 2021.
