Marvel recreates Portal scene in real life, As shared by the company itself, on January 27 World of Color – One made its official debut at Disney California Adventure, featuring a recreation of the famous Avengers: Endgame portal sequence. World of Color – One is the latest incarnation of Disneyland Resort’s nightly light and fountain show. The show uses huge displays of water, mist, geysers and fire.
The following segments from shows inspired by Pixar’s Spirit, The Lion King, Moana and Star Wars, A series of Doctor Strange portals began to form, flickering across the show’s massive screen of water, and even on the park’s 150-foot amusement wheel in the background. After the audience hears Sam Wilson’s line “On your left”, Alan Silvestri’s The Avengers score begins to play. and various Marvel heroes appeared through portals. According to Jennifer Magill, a producer for Disney Live Entertainment, The Marvel Studios portal scene is kind of the essence of this new show, “For World of Color – ONE, The Avengers was a perfect fit for the story we were telling. The concept of ‘Avengers Assemble’ and the portal scene in Avengers: Endgame kind of sums up the theme of our show. A single drop can create a wave and the power of many drops can create a wave of change.”
