A new study has revealed that Meghan Markle is the most talked about member of the royal family. She has surpassed both Kate Middleton and the Queen as the most royal. Research by Lucky Creek analyzed global Google Trends data from the past year to establish which royal skyrocketed searches, with the Duchess of Sussex taking the top spot.
Meghan has been searched 64 percent more than all other royal members and more notably 367 percent more than Kate during 2021.
Interest in the Duchess peaked during her historic sit-down interview with TV legend Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, which made headlines around the world.
The interview was also the most talked-about royal moment of 2021, getting 566 percent more searches than any other royal event.
It also includes Prince Philip’s funeral, the second most talked about royal story of the past year.

Meghan and Harry stepped down from official royal duties as a couple in 2020.
The couple was talked about 367 percent more than the second most popular royal couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
William and Kate’s most talked-about moment of 2021 was their 10-year wedding anniversary which was honored by a BBC documentary and the couple’s intimate Instagram post.
The anniversary caused the couple’s interest to exceed their annual average by 410 percent.
