Lionel Messi, who debuted more than two months ago with Inter Miami, leads the ranking of the best-selling MLS jerseys in 2023.
This Friday, MLS detailed the list of best-selling jerseys from January 1 to September 12, 2023 with the Argentine star at the forefront.
Messi announced his arrival in Miami on June 7 and debuted with the pink team on July 21 in a match against Cruz Azul.
But this summer in the US ‘Messimanía’, leading Inter Miami to win the first title in its history (the Leagues Cup), was enough for the Rosario genius’ shirt to become the best seller in MLS this year.
Therefore, Messi appears in the first place in this list ahead of the Brazilian João Klauss, the star of St. Louis City (a debuting MLS team this year and surprisingly first in the Western Conference); and the German Hany Mukhtar, the leading light of Nashville and who will be the MVP and top scorer of MLS in 2022.

Three players from the Seattle Sounders, who in 2022 became the first MLS team to win the Concacaf Champions League, are included in the top ten: Jordan Morris (sixth), Peruvian Raúl Ruidíaz (seventh) and American of Guatemalan and Salvadoran descent. Cristian Roldán (tenth).
Argentine Thiago Almada (Atlanta United) and German Eduard Löwen (St. Louis City) occupy the eighth and ninth positions, respectively.
Seven of the ten best-selling MLS jerseys in 2023 are from Latin players.
