Due to all these conditions, Uttarakhand and Eastern Uttar Pradesh are likely to receive rains till August 26.
According to the meteorological department, heavy rains are expected in various parts of the sub-Himalayan West Bengal from today to August 2 and in Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Assam. In addition, heavy rains are expected in Bihar on August 25 and 26. At the same time, light to heavy rains are expected in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim and some parts of Assam in the next two hours. Orange warnings have been issued for these states.
Meanwhile, rains over the last three days in Delhi-NCR have made the weather here pleasant. People are relieved in the scorching heat. Even today, the sky will be cloudy and there may be light rain in some places.
The meteorological agency Skymet has forecast light to moderate to heavy rains in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Bihar in the next two hours. It may also rain in Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Tamil Nadu.
