back in town
Dylan Gambrel returned to San Jose for the first time since being traded to Ottawa for a seventh-round draft pick on October 24.
“Mixed feelings, I guess,” Gambrel said before the game. “It’s great to be back. I enjoyed my time here, obviously, and everyone was great to me. It’s great to be back, but at the same time, being on a different team now, it’s not like any other.” The game is like when you get down on the ice.”
Gambrel was minus -1 in 10:32 on the ice.
Sharks coach Bob Boffner was asked about LW Evander Kane, who is eligible to return on November 30 after a 21-game suspension for submitting fake COVID-19 vaccination cards.
“There hasn’t been an update,” Boffner said. “Obviously going to be here in the next four, five days. But from my point of view, I think we’re doing a good job of trying to eliminate any distractions and I think Evander did a good job of that.” And let us focus on our team and what we have here and what we can control, and we’ll get to that point.”
