‘MiA’: a digital folder to store documents without fear of losing them

A digital folder where you can store all your documents without fear of losing them. This is what “MiA” offers, an application that Maru Díaz, Minister of Science, Universities and Science Society of the Regional Government, presented on Monday.

“What we have done in the law is to digitize all the documents and now create a virtual folder. Users will have a drawer on their mobiles from which they can quickly access all orders, accounts, accounts…”, explained the adviser. in an interview on the program Buenos Días, on Aragon TV. Díaz added that this new system will not replace the previous one, but “to make life easier for Aragonese”. “We have put a lot of effort and money into holding ICT workshops for those who are not digital natives. The “app” is super intuitive, very easy and created thinking of those who find the digital world a little difficult.” Díaz added. “MiA” was developed by the Servicios Digitales de Aragon (SDA) team.

What will citizens find when they open their folder?

Those who include the application, with one click, will find communications and notifications (subsidies, grants, schools…); procedures (up to 800 different); previous appointments in different dependencies and registers of the general administration; thematic areas, such as Social Services, Education and Training or Vehicles and Transport; and the review and review of documents.

Emergency Digital Network

In addition to presenting this new application, the councilor also spoke to the Buenos Días Aragon program about other processes, such as the creation of the Digital Emergency Network to fight wildfires: “When I came to the Government we found out that we have a problem in terms of communication. It could not be that those who protect us were supposed not to have a secure and interoperable network.” “Therefore – continued the adviser, we began to develop this project, which had a budget of almost 13,000,000 coins.”

In addition, Díaz emphasized that this legislature has marked “from before and after” cyber security. “Data is the gold of the 21st century, which is why it is so important to protect it. The Cybersecurity Center and its operatives will respond to and anticipate all issues.”

With regard to the implementation and development of cloud technologies in Aragon, the Minister explained that, although this model consumes a lot of energy, it has an advantage: “It allows data centers to be indirectly forced that have less impact on the climate. The objective of the regional cloud law is to make this technology more sustainable , to democratize, scalable …, and all this transformation must be done by the government. It was possible for the government to put large companies in front of the security of SMEs and to provide. the courts of the village”.
