Millions of people have booked this affordable ‘Made-in-India’ electric scooter, which has a range of 160km and costs just 25 paise.

The Indian market is witnessing a huge increase in demand for electric vehicles, especially in the two-wheeler segment, with consumers showing more interest. Recently eBikeGo has launched their new stylish electric scooter Rugged in the domestic market. Equipped with an attractive look and powerful battery pack, this bike is brought in two variants G1 and G1 +. The scooter has been buzzing since its launch and the company has registered more than 1 lakh units in the last two months.

eBikeGo says the amount of bookings paid is about ₹ 1,000 crore. The company is working to expand its network across the country so that it can reach more people. Recently, the company has opened 22 new dealerships, however, Mast franchises have closed in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Bihar.

The company hopes that the demand for these electric scooters will increase further during the festive season, which will boost bookings. “It is India’s most environmentally friendly, intelligent and sustainable electric moto-scooter that will change the course of electric mobility in the country,” said Irfan Khan, founder and CEO of the company. The company aims to book 50,000 units next month.

What does a ragged scooter look like:

The Rugged G1 is priced at Rs 79,999 and the G1 + variant is priced at Rs 89,999. This price includes FAMEII subsidy. In it the company has given a battery pack of 2 kWh capacity, which can also be replaced. eBikeGo claims that the battery can be charged in 4 hours and has a range of about 160 kilometers. It is powered by a 3kW motor that helps the electric scooter to hit a maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour.

Cost only 25 paise:

The company claims that the running cost of this electric scooter is very low, and it will cost only 25 paise per kilometer to operate. That is, for 1 taka you can travel 4 kms and for 100 taka you can travel up to 400 kms. Official booking of this bike has also started, for which the interested customers have to deposit only Rs. 499 as the booking amount. The company will start delivery from November 21st.

It has two driving modes, which include Echo and Power mode. The company claims that it offers a driving range of up to 160km in eco mode and 135km in power mode. It only takes 1 minute to replace the replaceable battery It has disc brakes with combined braking system (CBS).
