Gabriela Jimenez Ramirez, Sector Vice President for Science, Technology, Education and Health, led on Wednesday the first class of the Diploma in Scientific Journalism sponsored by the People’s Power for Science and Technology.

The Minister welcomed all the participants of the first group and said that “this course should create new tools for communication of science and give opportunity to scientists to disseminate their work. Diploma is a hope and dream of science communication.
According to information published on the social network Twitter, @IVIC_oficial, Minister Gabriela Jiménez highlighted that the practice of communication of science is a task that leads us to consolidate science communities for knowledge and proper communication with people goes.
“Scientific journalism, we want to do it from the people, from the community, with a different, plural, enjoyable, respectful system of values from critical and post-colonial thinking,” he said.
This important Diploma in Scientific Journalism will be developed through theoretical-practical activities in three modules. In the first place, everything related to science with 40 academic hours, the second, on communication which will last 60 hours, and the third module, refers to the project with 40 academic hours for the recognition of the participants.
