The school year starts in a few days. In this line, some doubts arise in parents about the obligations and responsibilities of students in national and private schools, such as uniforms and haircuts; or buying school supplies. In the midst of all these doubts and because in the last few days we have exceeded 30 °C in different coastal cities, parents are wondering if it is important for students to practice at school today before entering the classrooms.
Faced with this question, La República reviewed the current regulations and consulted the Ministry of Education (Minedu) to give a clear answer. With this note, find out what the training of scholars is, in which cases they occur and more.
COVID-19 and return to face-to-face classes
When mixed classes are resumed in 2022 in public and private national schools, the Government has banned the sale of food, meetings, parades, shows and training during the school day to avoid crowds that could lead to the spread of the corona virus. .
In addition, the students had mixed classes: they went to school on certain days and hours.

kiosks and the school canteen returned
In April of the same year, Minedu ministerial resolution No. 186-2022 was issued, in which it is agreed that kiosks, cafeterias and school canteens can serve “as long as they have water services for human consumption, drainage and electricity. as the best biosafety conditions Minsa (Ministry of Health) for the preparation, preservation of food and its consumption would guarantee stability.
However, the regulation gave the ultimate authority to the director of the training center to, within the scope of his autonomy, apply the considerations and decide whether to open them “under administrative responsibility” or not.
However, while there was a state of health emergency, “game preparations, shows and formations during the school day were suspended; as well as all types of meetings that involve concentration and attendance”, except for activities that promote “studies and social-motor support for students”, which comply with security protocols.
School formations in 2023
Pressed from the province of Minedu, La República determined that there is no rule that abrogates the regulations established by the COVID-19. “As long as no institution was repealed, everything remained in force.”
However, in consultation with this medium, the director of the educational center indicates that, for reasons of organization and emergency relations, they can do so.
School uniforms for public scholars
Another question that often arises among parents is whether their children should wear the clothes that some state institutions require. Faced with this problem, the Ministry of Education has some specifics.
The nature of the school uniform is a mandatory provision of each institution, but this must be indicated before the student is enrolled. But the purchase of clothes is free; School parents cannot buy said clothes in exclusive places.
How to report irregularities in school in 2023?
According to Minedu, if irregularities occur in private institutions, parents can “make a respective complaint with the UGEL to which the said school belongs” and with Indecopi, which has established a platform where parents can report the unknown author: “[email protected]”. .
