With the aim of co-developing public policies that promote the development of innovation and digital transformation ecosystems in Colombia, MinTIC hosted an innovation workshop with leaders from different digital ecosystems who shared their vision on how to transform the country into digital power . During the meeting, attended by ICT Minister Mauricio Lizcano and Vice Minister of Digital Transformation Sindey Carolina Bernal, the fundamentals of the public policy proposal were discussed with the aim of strengthening the digital ecosystem strategy.
“We are working on public innovation policy and have opened this co-creation space to validate with the different actors what we can change and improve to launch our initiative soon. For example, next year we’re doubling our budget for digital transformation, and that has to do with innovation ecosystems” said ICT Minister Mauricio Lizcano (@MauricioLizcano).
For their part, the representatives of the different innovation ecosystems presented their proposals to consolidate competitive, attractive and effective communities in all regions of Colombia.
“The purpose is to articulate, join forces, connect and co-create to improve innovation and ecosystems for digital transformation.“said Deputy Minister for Digital Transformation Sindey Bernal.
The connection of the different actors will make it possible to strengthen the digital skills of Colombians and accelerate the development of new technologies that promote innovation and entrepreneurship in key sectors such as the environment, agriculture, finance, education and health, among others.
