The Bolivarian Government-sponsored Ophthalmology Center in Lara State through the Miracle Mission held the first day of eye plastic surgery on Monday, May 22.

The mayor of Iriberan Municipality (Barquisimeto), Luis Jonas Reyes Flores, explained that 125 patients will be treated through the Municipal Institute for Social Development (IMDES) from May 22 to Saturday May 27, depending on the number of patients.

Ocular enucleation, biopsy and, among other conditions, ocular surgical intervention will be performed to treat conjunctival tumors.

During the management of the municipal government of Reyes Flores and with the support of the national government, 1,666 cataract surgeries have been implemented.
