Molly-Mae Hague has packed plenty in her 22 years and now she wants to share her story from childhood and finding fame to CEO as she promises readers her first autobiography is filled with behind the scenes stories
Molly-Mae Hague promises to ‘unravel herself completely’ in her new autobiography.
The Love Island star, 22, announced she will be sharing her story of finding fame in a new book – just weeks after being slammed for her “tone deaf” comments that we “all have the same 24 hours in a day”.
The influencer beamed as she shared with followers on Instagram about her new book called Becoming Molly-Mae.
Molly-Mae is of course no stranger to the limelight, with a flare for fashion leading to a sizeable following on social media before heading to Love Island elevated her to the next level and lead to lucrative collaborations and her own make up line.
The Hertfordshire born beauty and Creative Director at Pretty Little Things pens about her past and promises to tell her unique story of her and share “the Molly-Mae not everyone gets to see”.
Publisher Penguin offers insight into forthcoming release saying Molly “unravels herself completely for the first time” and tell the story of her body image, battling self-doubt and building a happy life.
In a statement, the publisher says: “Along the way she shares the moments, relationships and life lessons that have made her who she is.
“From the energetic child who loved Irish dancing and pageants, to the teenager holding down a job at Boots whilst building her dreams at fashion school, to the influencer and businesswoman who found her match on Love Island and had to learn how to cope with fame “
And the book, although a biography also hints to highlight practical tips on growing your social media following, making content, styling outfits, her favorite beauty products, haircare and developing the perfect make-up and skincare routines.
By sharing these parts of herself for the very first time, Molly-Mae hopes to give a fresh take on finding beauty and balance in a busy world.
The release comes as the self-confessed ‘over-sharer’ faced backlash for making ‘tone deaf’ comments by suggesting everyone can be as successful as her as we “all have the same 24 hours in a day”.
But after acknowledging she “never intend to hurt or upset anyone by anything that I say or do” she has continued to work hard and promote herself despite the sorry debacle.
Gushing over the new release, she told Instagram followers: “So I have written my very own book. This is Becoming Molly-Mae, my first ever book.
“It is literally my baby, we have honestly put so many months of work into this book, you have no idea, and it’s been such a journey and such an adventure.”
She further hinted that only friends and family know some of the stories in the book as she teased: “You really do get the full BTS, the whole behind-the-scenes of my whole journey.”
Becoming Molly-Mae by Molly-Mae Hague is published by Ebury Spotlight on 9 th June 2022.
