Hyundai has presented the new Kona which in its electric version (EV) offers a range of 490 km. The model is part of the company’s electrification strategy, which foresees the launch of 11 new electric vehicles on the market by 2030.
The Kona Electric offers many advanced features, such as an electronic active sound system, active air conditioning, and V2L interior and exterior power outlets. This is also equipped with the South Korean brand SmartSense driver assistance system for advanced assistance and additional safety systems, such as two autonomous driving.
The ship shows a dynamic image with larger dimensions compared to the previous generation. Meanwhile, the interior highlights two 12.3-inch widths, as well as an electronic gear shifter, which is now placed behind the wheel, to increase storage space. For this purpose, all the driver’s controls are spread around the steering wheel, allowing for an open console with rotating cup holders.
In addition, it includes the latest technological developments and infotainment systems and driving aids that provide a safe, connected and comfortable experience.
Kona’s electric battery has a capacity of 65.4 kWh with which it reaches a WLTP autonomy of 490 km. More storage space in the trunk, V2L power bases, Head Up Display and i-PEDAL driving mode. It also features an Intelligent Regenerative System and Active Electronic Sound System, and additional safety features such as Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Blind Spot Monitor, Intelligent Remote Parking Assist and Driver Condition Monitor.
The seats in the second row are fully foldable and the trunk has a cargo capacity of 466 litres. At the front there is another place to store things with a 27-liter boot.
