Many retail stores in the United States are closing due to declining sales. Some major brand owners like Walmart, Target, and Walgreens have decided to offer up to 70% off.
Walmart has been taking the initiative to close stores with little marketing for several years. In 2016, 150 facilities nationwide stopped operating, and interruptions occurred in the previous year as well.
Currently in 2023, Walmart plans to permanently close ten points of sale. The company had a moment of recovery last year, experiencing a 7.3% increase in its profits from September to December.
Stores that will stop providing services
The company confirmed the addresses where ten Walmart locations are located that will stop serving soon. One location is located at 3701 SE Dodson Road in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas.
The other is at 99 H Street NW in Washington DC and there is one at 6900 US Highway 19 North in Pinellas Park in Florida. There are three in Illinois, at 17,550 South Halsted Street in Homewood and at 12,690 S Route 59 in Plainfield.
3rd in Lincolnwood at 840 N. McCormick Blvd. is located in 301 San Mateo Blvd. in the city of Albuquerque in New Mexico. There is a store in SE. Oregon has two stores, one at 4200 82nd Ave. SE and the other is at 1123 N. Hayden Meadows Dr. I’m in, both are in Portland.
Walmart’s latest facility is in Wisconsin, specifically at 10 330 W. Silver Spring Dr. in downtown Milwaukee. Other chain stores that are downsizing include Dollar Tree, Dirt Cheap, Target and Walgreens.
On May 7 of this year, Dollar Tree ceased operations at the Laramie store in Wyoming. For its part, Dirt Cheap left 13 vacancies in the state of Texas without products.
