Gerardo Márquez Guevara, head of the Office of the State Attorney General (FGE) of Coahuila, announced that the meeting took place last Thursday and was attended by the National Institute for Migration (INM); Establishing that they continue to hope whether Title 42 is canceled or not.
The foregoing, due to the possibility that a large number of migrants arrive at the border, in addition to mentioning that they continue to carry out rescue operations with the aforementioned federal agency.
He noted that during the Security and Justice Roundtable, the National Intelligence Center presented numbers of migrants who have been detained in the United States and those who have been rescued in Mexico, specifically in Coahuila.
“It is believed that there is a record of 500,000 people who have reached the border of the United States through Piedras Negras and Acuña,” Marquez Guevara announced regarding the information provided at the meeting.
To the above, the Attorney General of the State reported that the number of people detained in the United States is approximately 470, 480 thousand; while in Coahuila some 40,000 migrants have been rescued.
