Mexico City. Senators from Morena, PVEM, PT and PES endorsed the outcome of the internal process through which Claudia Sheinbaum was elected Coordinator of the Fourth Transformation and called on all other participants to work with her and create inclusions.
“Let us all unite in supporting what the national polls show: that the majority of the Mexican people want the continuity of the Fourth Transformation,” they said in a letter signed by 58 Morena senators and their allies.
“Unity, unity and unity is what this historic moment we are living in requires,” they insist.
The PT legislators and those associated with Marcelo Ebrard did not sign the document, to which the signatories, like the rest of the participants in this internal process, expressed their appreciation. “We are sure that they will continue to contribute to the transformation of the country.”
The President of the Senate, Ana Lilia Rivera, as well as the Morena coordinators, Eduardo Ramírez, the EMPA, Raúl Bolaños Cacho and the PES, Sasi de León, and the Senators Olga Sánchez Cordero and Ifigenia Martínez, expressed that there were “very pleased “ that the coordination of the 4T fell to Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, “who will undoubtedly play an extraordinary role in this responsibility.”
It’s time to close ranks, they insist, committing “within our ability and consistent with election times and suffrage, which we will pay to strengthen our movement.”
They appealed to their militancy and “to all citizens who believe in the importance of maintaining the Fourth Transformation” to join the quest to continue what President Andrés Manuel López Obrador started: a more just, more egalitarian country, a country where there is corruption and privilege continues to be fought.”
