Sony published a list of the most popular PSVR 2 games downloaded in August 2023. The first place goes to the tactical shooter Firewall Ultra, despite some disappointments from players about VR design choices, the development system and bugs. The studio is currently working on patches and new content to address these issues and meet fans’ expectations of the first game.
In the second and third place in the download charts are Beat Saber and the tactical shooter Pavlov, which remains always popular. It will be interesting to see if Pavlov outperforms Firewall Ultra in the coming months.
Crossfire: Sierra Squad, a military shooter where players battle computer-controlled opponents with friends, took fourth place. Although some players did not appreciate the linear level design and direction of the game, others enjoyed it.
Green Hell VR also appears on the charts, although some fans have expressed disappointment with the low rendering resolution. Developer Incuvo has promised an update to address these and other concerns.
Red Matter 2, a stunning virtual reality game released in May, and zombie epic Saints & Sinners 2 continue to hold their positions on the charts. Skydance Interactive’s upcoming adventure game Behemoth is expected to be released later this year.
Overall, August saw a mix of old and new titles top the PSVR 2 download charts, with shooters and visually stunning games dominating the list.
