Moto Morini, the prestigious Italian motorcycle brand with more than 86 years of history, has arrived in Chile with Outdoormotors to expand its portfolio in our country. The Italian brand is at the top with three models based on a 650cc twin-cylinder engine: the X-Cape, with more track or street style; the Seiemmezzo STR, a street with a sporty imprint and the Seiemmezzo SCR with a unique style that makes urban use compatible with a detached and unlimited outdoor life.
The confidence that Outdoormotors has in these products is so great that, before making the official launch in front of distributors, customers and the press, they have the Xcape 650 to compete in the challenging “Copa del Rey” tournament, led by the pilot. Beyer, who stood on the podium at the best of an incredible second place, was only six seconds behind the first. A big win when you consider that, by regulation, they have to start in the last starting position. After the presentation of Moto Morini in the country, Andrés Lavanderos, manager of Outdoormotors Chile, emphasized that “We are very happy and proud to add a famous brand, like Moto Morini, to our company. We have worked hard to operate and distribute this brand of motorcycles with a long history, and we trust that Chilean users will appreciate them for their renowned quality, reliability and performance. We believe that entering the market with three unique models for different driving tastes represents great potential, which guarantees the highest quality standards that this brand has.
With its own style
X-CAPE is Moto Morini-style adventure– Versatility, fun and comfort made in a futuristic, eye-catching look. Equipped with a steel chassis and aluminum swingarm, it uses a thick inverted and adjustable hydraulic fork with 50 mm bars from the Marzocchi brand with 175 mm of travel. It has a combination of a 19″ front wheel and a 17″ rear wheel. Tubeless, the fuel tank is 18 liters, with a 649 cc DOHC parallel twin engine, manufactured under the Euro5 standard. It has a power of 60 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and a torque of 54 Nm. The block is equipped with Bosch electronic injection.
As for the lighting, it uses LED technology on the front and back and has a large 7-inch color TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity. And it comes in two versions: Standard and Golden Edition
Seiemmezzo: the Italian naked: For its part, the Moto Morini Seiemmezzo offers two alternatives, both with the same heart and different personalities. The one with a more asphalt character aimed at an audience that likes pure bare bikes, called STR; and another more adventurous one designed for those who like the city, but also excursions in the countryside, called SCR.
Both versions of the Seiemmezzo family -STR and SCR- use the same engine as the X-Cape, even sharing power and torque. In this case, the fuel tank is 16 liters. The suspension uses a Kayaba set with a 43 mm inverted fork and 120 mm of travel for the front, and the rear suspension consists of a central monoshock with 120 mm of travel.
For its wheels (18 inches at the front and 17 inches at the back) the “Moto Morini” uses different technologies depending on the version. In the case of the SCR, it is equipped with a spoked frame, while the STR offers a lightweight version with aluminum alloy arms. In terms of technological equipment, both models have a 5-inch TFT color screen, with an integrated Bluetooth system where a phone and two headphones can be connected simultaneously. The standard equipment is completed with full LED headlights.
Aesthetically, each has its own style. The STR has a more classic bare image, inspired by the company’s Milano model, with a round front headlight without protection, a fender mounted on its front wheel and relatively narrow shapes in the tank to gain agility. For its part, the SCR has a small ‘duckbill’ type fender, a headlight mask and a slightly higher seat than the STR, looking for fun on country land.
The Moto Morini 6 ½ or Seiemmezzo -STR and SCR- will be presented in three different color combinations according to the version: green, blue or black for the SCR; while for STR it can be red, anthracite gray or white.
The list price of the 3 new versions of “Moto Morini” starts at $7,990,000, and it is now available in our entire network of distributors throughout the country where you can now schedule your test drive and see for yourself the joy of driving a unique. Moto Morini (www.motomorinichile.cl).
