Behind Apple’s recent iPhone 15 event, Motorola has launched a range of stunning new smartphones that offer sleek and modern designs at affordable prices. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo, Moto G84 5G and Moto G54 5G are available in multiple markets.
Starting at $375, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo is a slim device with rounded edges and IP68 protection for durability. It has a 50MP Ultra Pixel camera sensor with All-Pixel focusing technology that should offer solid photo quality. The camera also offers 16x faster performance in low light, making it perfect for night photography.
The Edge 40 Neo is Motorola’s latest offering and the first Motorola Edge device in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) to utilize Lenovo’s carbon offset services. This service offsets carbon emissions by reducing lifecycle emissions while supporting global climate protection projects.
As part of Motorola’s sustainability commitment, the device comes with 100% plastic-free packaging using soy ink and 60% recycled materials such as whiteboard, kraft paper and tracing paper. It also comes with a 100% plant-based case that is color coordinated with the phone. The Edge 40 Neo is available in Black Beauty, Soothing Sea and Caneel Bay, all with a vegan leather finish in collaboration with Pantone.
Equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and 68W TurboPower fast charging, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo offers fast charging from 0 to 50% in just 15 minutes. Its 6.55-inch pOLED display has a 144Hz refresh rate for an immersive viewing experience. The phone also has a maximum brightness of 1,300 nits, is powered by the Media Ten Dimesity 7030 processor and features 5G connectivity.
The Moto G84 5G features a modern exterior made of vegan leather. The camera system features a 50 MP Ultra Pixel camera, an 8 MP ultra wide angle lens with Macro Vision and a 16 MP front camera with fast autofocus. The phone features a 6.5-inch infinite contrast POLED display that displays a 120Hz refresh rate and exceptional brightness of 1,300 nits, offering a good viewing experience especially for the price.
Powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, the Moto G84 5G should offer good speed and functionality. It comes in the eye-catching Pantone color of the year, Viva Magenta, with Marshmallow Blue vegan leather and a Midnight Blue matte plastic back.
Several EMEA markets will initially receive the Moto G84 5G at a starting price of $312.
Finally we have the Moto G54 5G. It features a 5,120-inch FHD+ 6Hz display with stereo speakers. With a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch rate, users can expect seamless performance and low latency.
The Moto G54 5G features a 50-megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) that uses Quad Pixel technology for four times better low-light sensitivity, resulting in sharper, more vivid photos even in low-light environments. The Macro Vision camera also allows users to capture fine details that might be missed with standard lenses. The 16 MP front camera has a Face Beauty tool to automatically enhance photos.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 octa-core processor and a 5,000mAh battery with TurboPower, the Moto G54 5G should have enough power for most apps and games. The device features a premium matte finish and is available in multiple color options in select EMEA markets for $225. It will also be available in other markets at a later date.
