It is unclear whether new Twins shortstop Carlos Correa will play in the three-match series against his former team due to injury. Korea has been sidelined since the pitch was gutted last weekend. Yusei Kikuchi (1-1, 4.35) heads to Toronto in the opening two-match series between AL East rivals at Yankee Stadium.
New York, which has won 13 of 15, claims the best record at 20-8 in the majors – including 12-4 at home. The Yankees are 4-3 this season against Toronto, breaking their 11-game winning streak last week.

Reds rookie Hunter Green seeks redemption in his second straight start against NL central-leading Milwaukee, when he allowed five homers out last time. Green’s eye-catching velocity has been up and down in his first month as a big leaguer, and he hit 100 mph just once, allowing eight runs against Milwaukee last Thursday.
Of course, everything is going wrong in Cincinnati. Mike Mustakas became the 14th Reds player on the injured list on Monday when he was added without a designation, the latest Cincinnati player to be sidelined by COVID-19 issues at the last-place club.
First baseman Joy Voto and second baseman Jonathan India are also out due to COVID-19 related reasons. Outfielder Tyler Naquin returned from COVID-19 IL on Saturday.

Arizona’s Madison Bumgarner returned to the mound against Miami after being ejected in the first inning of his previous debut during a foreign substance investigation.
During the check, the veteran left-handed had an argument with first base umpire Dan Bellino, and a shouting match resulted in Bumgarner’s career exit. Bellino issued a public apology a few days later for his role in the exchange.
London Calling
Major League Baseball intends to play regular-season games in London in 2023, 2024 and 2026. The Cardinals and Cubs are prime candidates to play in London next year, after their scheduled 2020 meeting was canceled due to the pandemic.
The New York Yankees won two games against the Boston Red Sox at the Olympic Stadium in London in June 2019, MLB’s first game in Europe.
Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred and London Mayor Sadiq Khan announced on Monday the formation of the MLB London Legacy Group, which will include members from the Greater London Authority and Baseball Softball UK.
