MSNBC thanks ‘loyal viewer’ Trump after hosts read offensive statement aloud

Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski mocked Donald Trump on Monday after he issued a statement trashing their MSNBC show.

The former president celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day by sending statement insulting a cable news program by saying they have low ratings and then abusing the word to criticize them.

“It is extremely difficult for them to find an audience to listen to the fake news they reject,” Trump wrote, saying the exact opposite of what he was apparently trying to convey.

“We reject fake news,” Brzezinski said, correctly using the word with its definition of “reject with disdain or contempt.”

Scarborough joked that Trump just “can’t leave us.”

MSNBC’s Chiron read, “Morning Joe, thanks to a loyal viewer: Florida retiree sends his thoughts on display” during the exchange, causing the participants to chuckle.

“Thank you very much,” said Scarborough.

The Rev. Al Sharpton, who was on the air during the segment, suggested that Trump may have been “unhinged” and “threatened” by earlier discussion of the split message between former president and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a potential Republican challenger. nomination for the presidency in 2024.

“You can’t say he can be an ex,” Sharpton said. “I think because of this you suddenly have no ratings, you have no audience. It’s a sign that you have one audience: Donald Trump.”

Trump regularly traded blows with Scarborough, a vocal critic, during his time in the White House. In 2020, he promoted an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory about a TV presenter being involved in a murder, tweeting it to his 80 million followers.
