Tanxugueiras, Son 21 and Cantadores close the month-long cycle of concerts held on the Plaza de la Candelaria stage
The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, through OAFAR, the autonomous organization for festive and recreational activities, has drawn up a program of activities for the last weekend of the founding festival, which will practically overlap with the Canary Islands Day celebration.
This Friday night at 9:00 p.m., the Plaza de la Candelaria stage will host a concert by Tanaxugueiras, the revelry group that fuses Celtic folklore with new urban rhythms. The award-winning trio of Galician pandeireteras achieved a national response with their participation in the 2022 edition of the Benidorm Fest, in which they stood as the third finalist with their song Terra.
A day later, at 8:30 pm, it will be the turn of XVI Festival Son 21, in which they will present their new show 20menos1, and where they will have the guest group of root music fusion, Caracolas. The veteran group will revisit a good part of their repertoire, in addition to presenting new versions of songs such as their new medley by Julio Iglesias or Santo-Santo by Gloria Estefan.
On Monday, the 29th, at 9:00 pm, Los Cantadores will come on stage to present Flores de Mayo, a concert dedicated to Santa Cruz, and in which they celebrate their fifteenth anniversary with the participation of soloist Marcela Morello Will count , In the concert, in addition to being able to listen to different songs of the band, the Argentine artist Corazon Salvaje or Una y Otra Vez, will play.
