The development of creativity is a key element in teaching GI school, both art and music are part of the educational DNA. The various activities that are created promote culture and identity, not only in the region, but also in the nation.
This semester 5th edition of the musical will take place, a production in which students and teachers will stand in “Rebels Rock”. The team, led by Jody Geitz, an American doctor with a long career in education, is made up of students from the seventh to the twelfth grade, who were doing their projects from September 2022, and who were chosen through an open call auditions; the following tradition- 5 years where the art, music and talent of our students will present a new production.
To highlight these 5 years of artistic production in GI, it is important to mention that the idea came from some level of students from the year 2016-2017, and that it was undoubtedly born under the theme of Rock On, the music. many lessons and challenges, including educating the community about the importance of a good, attentive and respectful show that takes into account the size of the work, to put on the appearance in this way. After this musical, The Addams Family, Mamma MÃa- La Nuestra and Wonka: Sweet Adventure were presented, which left wonderful messages in the community.
About the new musical, Jody Geitz shows that it is based on the School of Rock, a project on Broadway, among the most famous streets of New York and known throughout the world for shows, even in theaters, starring Jack Black. In the school of GI, this has been a long way that will leave its students with a great sense of belonging, which strives to offer quality work. This great work involves a huge production machine, where part of the communications staff, the physical plant, and the designers work to make this dream come true.
“The script has been written precisely for the audience of the GI School, the show is characterized by the fact that its topics are in English and Spanish, so that everyone who is present can understand the presentation,” the musical director declared.

“Here we have many resources with which the best music can be developed. The members of the band did not participate in this type of work despite the fact that they live.
