The United States Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the European Space Agency (ESA) have new plans to share how to bring fragments of Mars samples to Earth in the near future.
Alongside the plan there will be a press conference on the return of Mars samples on July 27 at 11.00 EDT.
The project aims to bring samples from Mars collected by the Mars Perseverance rover to Earth in early 2033.
Mars samples will be examined for signs of ancient Martian life, including information on the evolution of the Red Planet over thousands of years.
In addition, the public will be asked for comments about an environmental assessment for the mission last May which can be done independently. online,
NASA will consider this during mission development and plans to release a draft environmental impact statement in 2022.
There have been design changes to Mars exploration missions, most of which occurred in March, when the Coalition decided to develop a second lander because it was believed to be capable of supporting the mission.
The method of sampling Mars begins with the first lander mission that will send the Mars Ascent Vehicle (MAV) developed by NASA to the surface of the Red Planet.
Meanwhile, the second lander carried an instrument built by ESA to sample the persistence.
Later fetch rover Take cash Of the persistence collected at Mars’ Jezero crater, the rover will place it in the MAV.
