The executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, led the deployment in Caracas, and assured that as of this Friday, military officers and local officials will organize voluntary workers in various health centers for the “relaunch” of the so-called “Military Community Brigades”. are with ” (Bricomiles), created by President Nicolás Maduro in June 2022.
“Here we are with this effort of civil-military union, with the communities, for recovery through Bricomiles” the official said in statements to state channel Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) from a health center in a popular area in western Caracas.
He said officials in many states are focusing on “everyday problems” that are reported directly by residents of communities to hospitals and public clinics.
“We are all working together to remove the effects that the criminal blockade has left against our homeland” Rodriguez insisted.

A section of the opposition has assured that the plan seeks to “control schools and depopulate as part of a plan to militarise”, while teachers have questioned the links of pro-government militants with the programme, noting that that it does not contribute “respect for the aims and foundations of education”.
